Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and a part of SSC's Board of Directors since the year 2011 she was one of the original co-artistic director of Speech of Fire. As the artistic director of SSC she served as SSC's composer, musician and text director as well as the costume, set and music design. Though generally leading from within the group of actors, in her final year she made her debut as a director (and lighting designer) with SSC's King Lear.
