Taylor Swift's full name Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on December 13th of 1989, in West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.A. Taylor Swift became an incredibly popular artist and singer in the beginning of 2001 when she began sharing her stories of love and loss. Swift showed an interest in music from a young stage and progressed swiftly through roles in the children's theater to her first appearance before an audience of tens of thousands. Swift was 11 years old when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers Basketball game. Following that she started writing her own songs and got a guitar. She drew inspiration from the musicians from the country genre like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift was just 13 when her parents made the choice to sell their Pennsylvania farm and relocate into Hendersonville Tennessee. She could dedicate all her efforts to contacting label labels from the country scene in Nashville.
